Project Award Amount up to $50,000

Description

The DERC Pilot & Feasibility Program stimulates new directions in diabetes research regardless of a laboratory's traditional focus. Pilot funding of up to $50,000 per application is available for a 12 months project. Pilot & Feasibility award holders who have obtained seed data that has led to an extramural grant application are eligible to apply competitively for up to one additional year of bridge support which, provided funds are available, would maintain the research program until the completion of the extramural grant review process. Enhanced Pilot & Feasibility Awards of longer duration and amount are possible for highly justified proposals but are very unusual.

For more information about DERC Pilot & Feasibility Program, investigator eligibility, review criteria and application forms, please visit the DERC Application Page at the UCSF Research Allocation Program website.
