Patient Education

Knowledge is power in your quest to manage your diabetes

Everyone with diabetes needs diabetes education. Why? Because everyday activities – from meal planning to exercise – affect your blood sugar. Similarly, you must learn proper use and administration of medications and blood glucose monitoring equipment. Most importantly, you must be able to recognize the symptoms of complications of your disease so that you can prevent or treat them in their early stages. The more you know, the easier your health will be to maintain.

This may seem like a daunting task, but we are here to help you. Learn more about the Diabetes Center’s education programs for pediatric patients and adolescents and adults.
