David C. Klonoff, M.D.

Dr. Klonoff is a graduate of UC Berkeley and UCSF Medical School. His postgraduate training included two years at UCLA Hospital and three years at UCSF Hospitals. Dr. Klonoff is Board Certified in Endocrinology. His approach to treating people with diabetes emphasizes a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Klonoff is interested in applications of physical sciences to develop devices for people with diabetes. He is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology. He is also Chair of the annual Clinical Diabetes Technology Meeting which is presented by Diabetes Technology Society in cooperation with the UCSF Diabetes Center and other leading medical centers.
Dr. Klonoff has been an advisor to several US government agencies regarding their research on diabetes, physiological monitoring, and drug delivery technology, including NIH, FDA, CDC, NASA, US Army, and US Air Force. He is currently working on projects related to development of an artificial pancreas.
