The Diabetes Center at UCSF typically conducts numerous clinical trials relating to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes. A list of studies that are currently recruiting is provided below for those who may be interested in volunteering in clinical studies. The goal of the intervention studies is to preserve insulin secretion in people recently diagnosed with the disease."

In the near future, we are planning to launch Diabetes Prevention Trials to determine whether new therapies can delay, or prevent, the onset of type 1 diabetes in "at risk" individuals.
