Professor in Residence I am a Board Certified Pediatric Endocrinologist; have been at UCSF since 1979 (fellowship); joined the faculty in 1983, and have been Professor of Pediatrics since 1998. I am one of two founding faculty members in the Pediatric Diabetes Program at UCSF, and have been working in Diabetes since the inception of our Peidatric Diabetes Program approximately 10 years ago.I am Principal Investigator on a variety of clinically related studies in Pediatric/Adolescent Type 1 Diabetes, and, in particular, am co-Investigator in the NIH-sponsored TrialNet program. Overview of Clinical Responsibilities: I am one ofthe faculty in the Pediatric Diabetes Program, where I see patients and train postdoctoral fellows, pediatric residents, and medical students in both the in-patient and out-patient settings.
